After PSG’s win against Strasbourg, the club’s communications department decided to send Mbappé out for a press conference at Parc des Princes. Although PSG won the match, the outcome wasn’t the topic on anyone’s mind as the questions turned to Mbappé and his reaction after Argentina’s celebration, especially the way Emiliano Martínez celebrated: “The way he celebrates isn’t my problem. I don’t waste energy on those things,” he stated.
Even though it’s obvious Mbappé hasn’t turned the page after losing in the World Cup final, he decided to stay away from controversy regarding the way the Argentinian players celebrated their victory with a mocking tone in Buenos Aires: “The most important thing is to give my best to the club. That’s it,” the PSG striker remarked, he also remained indifferent when he was asked about the pictures of Emi Martínez mocking him.
