Joan Manuel Serrat, one of the great singer-songwriters who has given our country, put an end today to a career of 57 years during a final concert at the Palau Sant Jordi de Montjuïc. The 'noi del Poble Sec', about to turn 79 years old, completed his third and last concert -he started on the 20th, performed yesterday and repeated this Friday night- in his hometown in front of more than 15,000 people.

Nobody wanted to miss the last tribute to Joan Manuel Serrat. Starting with the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, who was accompanied by his wife and the Ministers of Culture and Sports, Miquel Iceta and Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares. But the political personalities were joined by others from a myriad of different sectors of society. Among them, the president of FC Barcelona, Joan Laporta, who was accompanied by the manager responsible for women's soccer, Xavi Puig, or the former captain of FC Barcelona, Carles Puyol, who attended with his partner, Vanesa Lorenzo.

A die-hard Barça fan, in 1989 Joan Manuel Serrat dedicated a song to Kubala, one of the legends of the azulgrana club and his childhood idol.
