After the break for the World Cup, which still has two weeks left, little by little the clubs begin to resume their routine with the internationals returning from Qatar. PSG too. From a distance, Al Khelaifi has spoken in an interview in the newspaper L'Équipe in which he has assessed Messi's contractual situation: "We will talk about his future after the World Cup," he assured, although the intention of the PSG president is to renew him .
The French champion has made an excellent start this season in which they don't know the defeat, and expectations in Champions League are once again high: “Game by game. For now, we will face Bayern ”, he said, restrained. The top manager of PSG, however, believes that the team don´t need reinforcements in winter: "We'll see, but I think we don't need anyone and we're not going to sign," he commented from Doha
An interview in which Al Khelaifi has once again delved into the subject of the stadium and the possibility of PSG moving if it does not reach a purchase agreement with the Paris City Council: “I don't want to leave, but we have no other option. We cannot stay in these conditions. We have already invested more than 80 million euros in the Parc des Princes. What did the City Council do in the meantime?”, has been asked rhetorically.
PSG has spent five years in negotiations with the mairie -the City Council- of Paris to buy the stadium, but the political class does not give in: "They always told us: 'After the mayoral elections. Later, after the presidential elections. We have wasted time. We could have already built a new stadium. We were nice, but it's over. Enough! If they do not accept the proposal we made, we will leave ”, Al Khelaifi stressed in L’Équipe.
