Los Angeles FC will face the Philadelphia Union in the MLS final on November 5th. LAFC boasts some big names on their squad such as Giorgio Chiellini, Carlos Vela, and Gareth Bale. Former Barça player Ilie Sanchez is also on the team, and he spoke to ‘El Larguero’ about his experience with the organization.
Ilie took the chance to praise Bale for what he brings to the team: “Gareth is a spectacle. He plays at a level above the rest, I’m sure he’ll help us win.” Sanchez also had kind words for Carlos Vela: “Carlos is our leader, he’s the best player in the league, without a doubt.”
Regarding the MLS Championship, Sanchez added that “there’s a Latino presence on the stands, it brings real football energy. Inter Miami is a great team, we need more teams like that in the MLS because they help us grow.”
