Carlos Alcaraz, ranked 2° in the ATP, and American Miami Heat guard Jimmy Buttler in the NBA and six times All Star, met in Buenos Aires on the occasion of the Argentina Open and took some time off to throw some shots to the basket.
"I’ve seen him play several times. I have a lot of respect for him, after all he’s a legend of his sport, a star, and the fact that he comes to see me is a privilege," Alcaraz said in statements to the ATP.
"It's complicated due to the calendar, but yes, I like Miami, the Lakers and some other teams," said Alcaraz, who also recognized that he's not bad at basketball.
Both players share a representation agency and with the presence of the NBA in the Argentine capital, the meeting took place after the semifinal of the ATP 250 of Buenos Aires in which Alcaraz defeated Bernabé Zapata.
After some baskets in which the Murcian showed he had a swift hand in front of the basket, he didn’t hesitate to add: "It’s something new for me to meet personalities like these."
